senior consultant (energy and climate change)

hanover is currently recruiting to fill a Senior Consultant position in our London office advocacy division.

The successful candidate will have:
• 3 to 5 years experience in UK energy and climate change policy.
• Excellent written, analytical, presentational and general communication skills
• A proactive approach with a keen eye for detail and experience in shaping the UK policy agenda
• Understanding of the impact regulatory changes may have on commercial entities
• Ability to sift through information quickly and effectively to identify issues of relevance to clients
• Account or project management experience
• Intelligence-gathering on clients, sector, competitors and media and policy environment, often through networking, to inform strategic advice for clients
• Passion for political/policy issues, particularly in the energy sector
• Media relations, EU energy and budget management experience an advantage but not essential
