Queen's Speech 2010
The traditional pomp and circumstance surrounded the most predictable Queen’s Speech recent years. With at least 22 bills to be enacted over eighteen months, the raft of new MPs can expect to spend many hours in the Committee Corridor.
Although many of the proposed Bills simply reverse measures introduced by Labour, they are important in their symbolism – underscoring the coalition’s themes of freedom, responsibility and fairness.
