Following a competitive pitch, hanover has been appointed by HomeSun to support its campaign to promote the significant value that Feed-in Tariffs have given to widespread adoption of residential solar PV.
The first solar company to announce Free Solar and SolarShare offerings alongside the Feed-in Tariff scheme, HomeSun has enabled thousands of homeowners to become more energy sufficient and to cut their power bills with clean green power. hanover will work with HomeSun on an integrated public and government relations campaign to maximise awareness of the green economy’s added value.
Daniel Green, CEO of HomeSun said:
“Historically, solar has been the domain of the wealthy middle classes. FITs have enabled HomeSun to change that and to deliver socially inclusive independent power production. We’ve seen behavioural change, we’ve seen household energy savings of over £300 a year. We’ve had people tweeting about their solar PV system – when was the last time people got that excited about electricity? There is a positive and successful movement on the ground which is down to the support of FITS and is changing the way people produce, use and view power and this story needs to reach mainstream media and the government.”
Commenting on the win, Charles Lewington, Managing Director at hanover said:
“hanover is delighted to have been chosen by HomeSun to provide support for their campaign on FITs.
“HomeSun is an important player in the energy space with a compelling narrative to tell on its added societal value. Green economy issues will remain high on the political and public agenda in the coming months and we look forward to working with the HomeSun team to help them navigate it.”
