who's who in health?  the 2010 Conservative intake

This general election is likely to see the largest change in MPs since 1945, helped in large part by the record number retiring – over 140 MPs, more than 20 percent – and the expected transfer of many seats from Labour to the Conservatives.

In the event that the Conservatives are elected with an overall majority, over half the parliamentary party will be elected for the first time. This new intake could have a major influence on the decisions of the next Government. A hung Parliament or a narrow majority for whichever party will mean more power for Parliament as Ministers will be need to be responsive to MPs’ concerns.

hanover has produced a guide profiling some of the strongest Conservative candidates with health expertise who, if elected, will be influential in the development of healthcare policy and may in time find themselves serving as Ministers. Start swotting up - you might be hearing a lot more from them in future. / View
