Following a competitive international tender, a coalition of SMEs led by hanover and Low Associates has been appointed by the European Commission to support its campaign to promote small business policy via the European Enterprise Promotion Awards and SME Assembly.
Working to the Directorate General for Enterprise and Industry, the two year project will increase the awareness of the European Enterprise Promotion Awards across all 27 member states and more importantly will contribute to the very first SME Assembly, the high point of the European SME policy. The ultimate objective of this policy, called the SBA for Europe, is to promote a business environment for small businesses and facilitate economic growth across Europe.
The coalition brings together policy, events, design, PR and digital expertise. hanover will focus on international digital and PR promotion; Low Associates will be leading on the delivery of the Awards and overall project management.
Commenting on the win, Charles Lewington, Managing Director at hanover said:
“With all the challenges facing the Eurozone, the implications of the Small Business Act and the work that governmental organisations are doing to promote small business in their region have never been more critical. This is a major pan-European campaign that will ensure that the brightest ideas and best practice can be shared across Europe. We’re immensely excited to have this opportunity that will keep the team at hanover in both Brussels and London very busy.”
