We ran a targeted public policy campaign for 3UK to reduce the amount of time it takes to move a mobile phone number from one network to another. This meant communicating the benefits through parliamentary questions and debates, EDMs and select committee hearings, and showing the regulator the strength and depth of the arguments for change. 'Porting' a number now takes two working days, instead of five, and Ofcom is working towards reducing this even further, to just two hours.
