NHS Property Services

NHS Property Services (NHSPS) has thousands of frontline staff working behind the scenes for the NHS every day, and there was a need to highlight and give recognition to these ‘hidden heroes’. As COVID-19 struck, there was no better time to undertake the organisation’s first proactive campaign, giving thanks to the cleaners, porters and caterers working in our health service. With a strong bank of case studies, we were able to cut through the noisy media landscape with this important story and generate social media traction, giving a well-deserved thank you to staff, building positive sentiment and boosting internal morale.

Across the campaign, staff were celebrated in national and broadcast outlets including The Daily Express, Daily Mirror and Good Morning Britain. Celebrities were also keen to show their support on social, with Gary Lineker, Matt Lucas. Alastair Campbell and Andrew Flintoff all sharing tweets recognising the NHS’ Hidden Heroes.
