Alen is an Account Director based in Hanover’s Brussels office. He currently co-leads the Brussels digital policy team, designing public affairs strategies and advising clients on political, legislative and policy developments in the digital sector. His policy portfolio includes themes such as platform regulation, telecommunications, key emerging technologies, data policy, and privacy.
Prior to joining Hanover, Alen held a Senior Consultant position at a Brussels-based public affairs and strategic communications agency, providing strategic advice to trade associations, multinational companies, and NGOs active in the technology sector. His previous experience includes working at the Hague Centre for Strategic Studies, a leading Dutch think-tank, and serving as Member’s Assistant at the Parliament of Canada, where he focused on issues covered by the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development.
Alen holds an Honours BA degree in International Relations from the University of Toronto and a Master of Public Administration from Leiden University in the Hague.
