Chad has 15 years experience in policy, public affairs and strategic communications gained within EU institutions, regulators, public affairs agencies, trade associations and NGOs.​

At Hanover, Chad provides strategic counsel on corporate positioning, advocacy campaigns, policy thought-leadership, and network building with the EU institutions and civil society. He advises clients on EU sustainability and trade policy initiatives that impact on production, corporate reporting and supply chains, and supports clients in their transition towards more sustainable alternatives and a greener future.

Chad has led the delivery of impactful advocacy campaigns on high-profile and technical EU policy and regulatory initiatives in the environment, transport, energy, natural resources, and trade and investment spaces. He has advised public and private sector clients on lobbying and engagement campaigns targeting the EU institutions, member state governments, industry associations and civil society groups. He has contributed to positioning clients at major policy events, and has managed traditional and social media campaigns to promote thought-leadership.  ​

Before joining Hanover, Chad directed government relations and strategic communications for both a climate and energy NGO and a transport trade association. He has worked in the European Commission, a UK regulator, and in political office in Scotland and in Canada.
