Daniel Gilbert

Managing Director, Advocacy

Daniel leads Hanover’s 30-strong public affairs practice in London. He has more than fifteen years’ experience on the political front-line and extensive cross-sector experience that spans technology, manufacturing, transport and financial services. Prior to consultancy, he was a Special Adviser in the Department for Business, Innovation & Skills where he advised ministers through successive budgets and spending reviews and launched the first legislation in a generation on higher education and research.

He specialises in advising corporate clients in highly-regulated and politically high-profile sectors. His recent work includes campaigns for Nissan, Carnival UK, Uber and Airbus. Daniel is part of Hanover’s executive committee and oversees group workstreams on our Sustainability goals and improving Diversity. He has also served as an elected Conservative local councillor.
